Members will receive:

  • Twice-yearly Newsletter containing details of the latest news, upcoming activities and events

  • Invites to excursions and events throughout the year.

  • Celebrating the life of William Barnes

  • Supporting and encouraging the passing on of knowledge of Dorset's cultural heritage

  • Supporting literary students in their quest for learning about William Barnes' life and poetry

  • Readings of Barnes' poetry, in National English and Dorset dialect at Dorset related events

  • Exploring folklore, customs and rural traditions

  • Members Summer Lunch

  • Outings and events to Barnes related places

  • Organised readings, lectures and presentations

  • Evenings of folk music, readings and poetry

Payment is due on 1st August. (for a new member who joins after the 31st March, membership remains in force until 1st July in the following year)
